ABOUT
The nine-year-old Kherna has show experience at 1.20m level and is an attentive mare with a lot of scope. She is easy to ride and takes the rider to the jump. A kind, nice amateur horse that has had a few foals. Her dam Sterrehof’s Pherna is known as a 1.60m Grand Prix horse with Julia Houtzager-Kayser.
Sire Sterrehof’s Opium was one of Marc Houtzager's first CSI5* Grand Prix horses. They won several Grand Prix and Nations Cups and even placed seventh at the 2008 Olympic Games.
Dam Sterrehof’s Pherna (Calvados) quickly achieved multiple top rankings in Grand Prix with Julia Houtzager-Kayser. In 2009, they qualified for the European Championships in Windsor, where Sterrehof’s Opium also competed.
Pherna also produced two 1.60m Grand Prix offspring: Utopie (KWPN-approved) and Highway W, in addition to two horses at 1.30m and 1.35m level.
Granddam Cerna (Tangelo xx x Rigoletto) jumped 1.30m courses herself and is a half-sister of the 1.60m Grand Prix horse Jorthos.
