This 3-yr-old gelding is a great-grandson of the Grand Prix showjumping mare Vienna (Magic Darco). The pedigree goes back to many proven stallions. Grandam Didi descends from the influential BWP stallion Skippy II (1.60m level jumping). Dam Indiana Z is a daughter of the 1.60m level placed stallion Inshallah de Muze (Nabab de Reve out of the Qerly Chin damline).

Ciao Bello’s sire Comilfo Plus Z is a product from one of the first crops of the top-class Grand Prix stallion Comme il Faut (Cornet Obolensky out of Ratina Z). As an 8-yr-old this Zangersheide chestnut stallion jumped international 1.45m classes under Christian Ahlmann and Judy Ann Melchior, after which he had to throw the towel in the ring because of a neck injury. A great loss for the sport, but a blessing for the breeders. Comilfo Plus Z produces offspring with a lot of power, suppleness and technique, and one of these is Ciao Bello NVE Z.
